La plupart du temps, une fois arrêtés, ces détenus restent incommunicados et ils sont soumis à des traitements choquants et inhumains. Parmi les traitements inhumains qu'ils nous ont décrits, il y a la simulation de noyade, les coups sévères, les attaques de chiens.”

La bonne nouvelle est qu'à ce jour, la plupart des pays donateurs ont repris leur contribution à l'Agence. Nous avons juste une poignée de pays qui doivent encore prendre une décision. Nous savons que le principal contributeur, les États-Unis, a indiqué qu'il ne pourra pas soutenir l'Agence avant mars 2025.”

“The crisis sparked in the Middle East one week ago following US and Israeli attacks on Iran, and Iran’s counterattacks, has been spreading like wildfire. It is causing significant damage in Iran, Israel and at least a dozen other countries, mostly in the Gulf, with risks of major economic and environmental ramifications across the world,” he said.
