Conférence mondiale des présidents de parlement 29-30 juillet 2025


La Sixième Conférence mondiale des Orateurs de Parlement, organisée par l'Union interparlementaire (UIP), en étroite collaboration avec les Nations Unies, se tient du 29 au 31 juillet 2025 au Palais des Nations (Office des Nations Unies à Genève). La Conférence des Orateurs est précédée par le 15ème Sommet des Femmes Orateurs de Parlement, qui se tient le 28 juillet 2025.

La Conférence, établie pour la première fois en 2000 à la veille du Sommet du Millénaire des Nations Unies, offre un forum unique pour un engagement et un dialogue de haut niveau entre les dirigeants parlementaires du monde entier. Les conférences précédentes, tenues tous les cinq ans depuis lors, ont servi de catalyseurs pour façonner et renforcer la dimension parlementaire de la gouvernance mondiale, contribuant ainsi à combler le fossé démocratique dans les affaires internationales. Cette occasion marque l'aboutissement de deux années de travail par un Comité préparatoire composé d'environ 20 Orateurs de Parlement de toutes les régions du monde, et promet d'être le plus grand rassemblement de ce type jamais organisé. Conformément à l'approche inclusive de l'UIP, elle met également en vedette des dirigeants éminents d'autres organisations internationales, du monde académique et des organisations de la société civile, ainsi que des médias.
