  3. Wide, UN models launching new uniforms.
  4. SOUNDBITE (English) – Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General, UN Geneva: “Our guides for many people are the first people representing the United Nations. These are the first people to tell them how we function, what we do, what are our values, our priorities. And every year, thousands of visitors, many of them children, many of them students, young people, they come here and they are being taught about the United Nations and our work.”
  5. Close, jacket label being shown to camera by wearer.
  6. SOUNDBITE (English) – Alessandra Vellucci, Director, Information Service, UN Geneva: “I think it's very important for our guides to show that the United Nations are a place where you don’t only speak, but also you ‘do’. The fact that these jackets are sustainable, the fact that we have produced them with sustainable materials, the fact that there is a colour that has been chosen – the green – which as you know, represents peace.”
  7. Medium-wide, UN models holding jackets on shoulder.
  8. SOUNDBITE (English): Sonia Holden, UN Geneva guide: “Probably the colours; the fact that we all have the blazer that’s the same colour and then we all have different waistcoats with different designs so everybody could choose their own designs.”
  9. Wide, UN models put on jackets.
  10. SOUNDBITE (English) – Sidonie Auroy, UN Geneva guide: “Here, we show all of the works of art from different countries and now I will also will be able to wear this multiculturalism and to explain that to the public.”
  11. Wide, UN models walking in the Pas Perdus corridor at the Palace of Nations.
  12. SOUNDBITE (English) – Tiziano Guardini, Conscious Creative Director and Designer: “My favourite thing is about the gilet [waistcoat] with different colours and the pattern and design. At the same time the pattern of the jacket, the idea is to embrace the difference of the jacket around the world. So, it's not the conventional one with the revers [lapels]. So, this kind of detail, I think that is what I really like the most.”
  13. Wide, UN models and design team gathered for family photo.
  14. SOUNDBITE (English) – Paolo Naldini, General Director, Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte: “This garment, this uniform to me are pluriform, because they are able to bring together, to keep together, the unity - and this is the jacket that is the same for everybody, is a common belonging - a common project. And then you have the waistcoat and each one is totally different; and I like to think of them as to all of us as a drop, as a drop of water, which is totally unique, but at the same time, all drops together come and make this sea of humanity.”
  15. Wide, Pas Perdus corridor at the Palace of Nations, venue of new uniform launch.
