رولاندو غوميز، رئيس قسم الصحافة والعلاقات الخارجية في خدمة المعلومات التابعة للأمم المتحدة في جنيف، رأس مؤتمرًا صحفيًاهجينًا، حضره المتحدثون وممثلون عن منظمة الصحة العالمية، وصندوق الأمم المتحدة للطفولة، ومكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية، وبرنامج الأغذية العالمي، ومنظمة الأغذية والزراعة، والاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات.
الوضع في غزة
جوناثان كريكس، رئيس الاتصالات في دولة فلسطين لصندوق الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (اليونيسيف)، والذي تحدث من القدس، أكد أن اليونيسيف تقدر بأن ما لا يقل عن 17,000 طفل في قطاع غزة إما أنهم بدون رعاية من ذويهم أو مفصولون عن كل من والديهم أو مقدمي الرعاية السابقين. وهذا يعادل واحد بالمائة من إجمالي السكان النازحين - 1.7 مليون شخص.
