RUEDA DE PRENSA DE LA ONU EN GINEBRA

Rolando Gómez, Jefe de la Sección de Prensa y Relaciones Externas del Servicio de Información de las Naciones Unidas en Ginebra, presidió una rueda de prensa híbrida, a la que asistieron portavoces y representantes de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, el Fondo de las Naciones Unidas para la Infancia, la Oficina de Coordinación de Asuntos Humanitarios, el Programa Mundial de Alimentos, la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura, y la Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones.
Situación en Gaza
Jonathan Crickx, Jefe de Comunicación en el Estado de Palestina para el Fondo de las Naciones Unidas para la Infancia (UNICEF), hablando desde Jerusalén, afirmó que el UNICEF estimaba que al menos 17,000 niños en la Franja de Gaza estaban sin acompañamiento de sus padres o familiares, o separados de ambos padres o cuidadores anteriores. Esto correspondía al uno por ciento de la población desplazada en general, es decir, 1.7 millones de personas.
