“L'armée israélienne a également continué à émettre des ordres de déplacement pour les Palestiniens, y compris ceux de la ville de Gaza, leur demandant de se déplacer vers la zone d'Al Mawasi, même si les frappes sur cette zone se poursuivent. Les 16 et 17 août, nous avons enregistré cinq attaques sur des tentes de personnes déplacées internes à Al Mawasi, tuant au moins neuf personnes,” a déclaré Al-Kheetan.
“Des centaines de milliers de Palestiniens déplacés vers Al Mawasi ont peu ou pas accès aux services et fournitures essentiels, y compris la nourriture, l'eau, l'électricité et les tentes,” a souligné le porte-parole.
“Le risque de famine est omniprésent à Gaza. C'est le résultat direct de la politique du gouvernement israélien de bloquer l'aide humanitaire. Au cours des dernières semaines, les autorités israéliennes n'ont permis l'entrée d'aide qu'en quantités bien inférieures à ce qui serait nécessaire pour éviter une famine généralisée,” a-t-il dit.
“Accéder aux maigres fournitures disponibles peut être une quête mortelle. Depuis le 27 mai et jusqu'au 17 août, nous avons documenté que 1 857 Palestiniens ont été tués en cherchant de la nourriture, dont 1 021 tués à proximité des sites de la Fondation humanitaire de Gaza, et 836 tués sur les routes des camions de ravitaillement. La plupart de ces tueries semblent avoir été commises par l'armée israélienne,” a déclaré Al-Kheetan.
