Alessandra Vellucci du Service d'information des Nations Unies(UNIS) à Genève, a présidé le point de presse hybride, auquel ont assisté les porte-parole et les représentants de l'Organisation internationale du Travail, du Haut-Commissariat des Nations Unies aux droits de l'homme, du Bureau de la coordination des affaires humanitaires, de l'Organisation mondiale de la Santé, de l'Organisation météorologique mondiale et du Programme des Nations Unies pour le développement.
Profits et pauvreté : le lancement du rapport de l'OIT sur l'économie du travail forcé
Zeina Awad, pour l'Organisation internationale du Travail (OIT), a déclaré que l'OIT venait de publier son rapport sur la nouvelle estimation des profits illégaux générés par le travail forcé, qui était la deuxième édition, la première ayant été publiée en 2014. L'étude avait été produite par la branche Fondamentaux de l'OIT, dédiée à la réalisation du droit fondamental au travail.
