Rolando Gómez, chef de la section de presse et des relations extérieures du Service d'information des Nations Unies à Genève, a présidé un briefing hybride, auquel ont assisté des porte-parole et des représentants de l'Organisation mondiale de la Santé, du Fonds des Nations Unies pour l'enfance, du Bureau de la coordination des affaires humanitaires, du Programme alimentaire mondial, de l'Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture et de l'Union internationale des télécommunications.

 

 

Situation à Gaza

Jonathan Crickx, chef de la communication de l'État de Palestine pour le Fonds des Nations Unies pour l'enfance (UNICEF), a déclaré que l'UNICEF estimait qu'au moins 17 000 enfants de la bande de Gaza étaient soit non accompagnés de leurs parents ou de leurs proches, soit séparés de leurs deux parents ou de leurs anciens soignants. Cela correspondait à un pourcentage de un pour cent de la population déplacée - 1,7 million de personnes.
