Conférence de presse de l'UIP : Martin Chungong Secrétaire général de l'UIP - 29 juillet 2025
La Sixième Conférence mondiale des Orateurs de Parlement est organisée par l'Union interparlementaire (UIP), en étroite collaboration avec les Nations Unies. La Conférence mondiale des Orateurs de Parlement doit se tenir du 29 au 31 juillet 2025 au Palais des Nations à Genève, Suisse.
Établie en 2000 par l'UIP, la Conférence mondiale des Orateurs de Parlement réunit tous les cinq ans les représentants de plus haut niveau des parlements et des Nations Unies. Les conférences précédentes ont joué un rôle important dans le renforcement de la dimension parlementaire de la gouvernance mondiale et dans le comblement du déficit démocratique dans les affaires internationales.
Au cours de la Conférence, les principaux législateurs du monde devraient dialoguer avec des dirigeants d'organisations internationales, du milieu universitaire, de la société civile et des médias.
Points forts du programme

29 juillet 2025 : Début du Débat général sur Un monde en turbulence : Coopération parlementaire et multilatéralisme pour la paix, la justice et la prospérité pour tous, et panel 1 sur la participation des femmes et des jeunes au parlement.

30 juillet 2025 : Panels sur l'innovation pour la paix, la réalisation des ODD d'ici 2030, le rôle des parlements dans la construction de l'avenir numérique, et l'action contre la discrimination.

31 juillet 2025 : Débat interactif avec de multiples parties prenantes sur la gouvernance mondiale « en réseau », et adoption de la déclaration finale.
