L'OMS prévoit de publier sa Liste de Priorité des Pathogènes Bactériens (LPPB) mise à jour, comprenant 15 familles de bactéries résistantes aux antibiotiques d'importance pour la santé publique. Cette liste révisée reflète l'évolution de la résistance aux antimicrobiens (RAM) et souligne l'importance de la recherche et du développement (R&D) continus, de la surveillance et des investissements pour faire face aux menaces émergentes pour la santé publique.
Comme la première LPPB publiée en 2017, les bactéries sont classées en catégories critique, haute et moyenne priorité, offrant une approche structurée pour des interventions ciblées et une allocation des ressources.
