"Veuillez lire le rapport IPC, de la première à la dernière page. Lisez-le avec tristesse et colère. Pas comme des mots et des chiffres mais comme des noms et des vies. Ne doutez pas que c'est un témoignage irréfutable.
C'est une famine. La Famine de Gaza.
C'est une famine que nous aurions pu prévenir, si nous en avions eu la possibilité. Pourtant, la nourriture s'accumule aux frontières en raison d'une obstruction systématique par Israël.
C'est une famine à quelques centaines de mètres de la nourriture, dans une terre fertile.
C'est une famine qui frappe d'abord les plus vulnérables. Chacun avec un nom, chacun avec une histoire. Qui dépouille les gens de leur dignité avant de les priver de la vie. Qui force un parent à choisir quel enfant nourrir. Qui oblige les gens à risquer leur vie pour chercher de la nourriture.
C'est une famine dont nous avons averti à plusieurs reprises. Mais que les médias internationaux n'ont pas été autorisés à couvrir. À témoigner.
C'est une famine en 2025. Une famine du 21ème siècle surveillée par des drones et la technologie militaire la plus avancée de l'histoire.
C'est une famine ouvertement promue par certains dirigeants israéliens comme une arme de guerre.
C'est une famine sous nos yeux. Chacun en est responsable. La Famine de Gaza est la famine du monde. C'est une famine qui demande « mais qu'avez-vous fait ? ». Une famine qui nous hantera et doit nous hanter tous.
C'est une famine prévisible et évitable. Une famine causée par la cruauté, justifiée par la vengeance, rendue possible par l'indifférence et soutenue par la complicité.
C'est une famine qui doit inciter le monde à une action plus urgente. Qui doit faire honte au monde pour qu'il fasse mieux. C'est une famine qui demande donc aussi « ... et maintenant, que ferez-vous ? »
Ma demande, ma supplication, mon exigence au Premier ministre Netanyahu et à toute personne pouvant le joindre :
Assez. Cessez-le-feu. Ouvrez les passages, nord et sud, tous. Laissez-nous faire entrer la nourriture et d'autres fournitures, sans entrave et à l'échelle massive requise. Mettez fin à la rétribution. Il est trop tard pour beaucoup trop de personnes. Mais pas pour tout le monde à Gaza. Assez. Pour l'amour de l'humanité, laissez-nous entrer."

“The crisis sparked in the Middle East one week ago following US and Israeli attacks on Iran, and Iran’s counterattacks, has been spreading like wildfire. It is causing significant damage in Iran, Israel and at least a dozen other countries, mostly in the Gulf, with risks of major economic and environmental ramifications across the world,” he said.
