Launch of new physical activity guidelines. WHO launches new recommendations on how to stay active and healthy for everyone. They include specific guidance for women throughout pregnancy and post-partum, people living with disabilities, elderly persons and people with diabetes and hypertension.
Alessandra Vellucci, Director of the United Nations Information Service, chaired the virtual briefing, attended by the spokespersons and representatives of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the World Food Programme, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.
